The big challenges that agriculture is facing today is biodiversity loss, soil depletion, health issues, climate change, food & nutrition security, gender equity, weakening of livelihoods and unsustainable development. Unsustainable agriculture is the largest driver of biodiversity loss, it is contributing to global warming, contaminating soil, threatening rural livelihoods as well as food & nutrition security.Today's farmer is facing the biggest crises ever. All the way from technical knowledge to productivity, market access to fair pricing, sustenance to prosperity, the farmer is bearing the brunt. The lack of resources adds to the problems. Organic agriculture works with and promotes sustainable farming practices that enhance biodiversity, strengthen soil health, and mitigate climate change while adapting to it.
Being a farmer owned company, MahaOrganic works with the rural communities by training and empowering farmers, helping them shift to sustainable, regenerative organic practices. This is done through our KrishiKatta initiative.
